A great day playing at Black Acre with our playgroup found mamas carrying babies on backs, fun feeding hay to the farm animals, nursing kids (human and goats), jumping on haybales, loving the old 1791 barn, and MORE muddy boots. The kiddos were fascinated with the springhouse that served for the old Tyler homestead. Above, it was the one "air-conditioned" room above a cool spring, with the room below acting as cold storage for food in the spring itself.
